Elizabeth Street

Udon Yasan, soup with seaweed + tempura prawn

Street full of takeaways, especially Asian style. There is a place called Udon Yasan. It offers meals with prices that start at $4.50 or $5.50 for a plain Udon soup. It looks authentic, not a classic food court cheap style. 

Pepper Lunch – It is a Japanese franchise that you can also find in Sydney. They have combos with rice, sizzling meat or salad variation. It is quite nice and tasty!

 

 

China Town

Plenty of Asian food. There is a dumpling place, Japanese places as well as Vietnamese and Korean. China Town in Melbourne is absolutely a must to try.

Clarendon Street

If you walk on Clarendon street you will notice plenty of takeaways which are worth to try. Not all of them you can see on the map.

For example – SpudBAR offers a healthy takeaway food that taste amazing. They have lot of meal with sweet potatoes, hummus, avocado or beans. 

 

Sofitel Hotel on Collins, Takeaway Area

The food court area is located below the Sofitel hotel, very nice to sit. They offer healthy takeaways such as Sumo Salad, Vietnamese rice-paper rolls or Gomez (Mexican). You can also find nice ice-cream shops there and delicious coffee.

 

South Bank

This are have both – fancy restaurants and takeaways. Just walking along Southbank Yarra River in Melbourne you will see plenty of choices.

Fancy seafood spaghetti, not budget eats but delicious!

In Melbourne, you can find some places where they serve Matcha latte with pretty good taste of real Matcha. 

 

How to get around Melbourne?

Public transport

There is a free tram zone in the city centre which is really convenient. If you travel further, you need to have a Myki card. It is available usually in 7-eleven. 

The price is $6 for the card and the minimum top up is $5.
