How to choose the best hair straightener?

Product comparison - Hair straightener

Before you decide what type of straightener do you need think about couple of questions:

PURPOSE

Do you want to have a universal straightener that you can take while you travelling and also for your home?

Do you rather invest in better quality to protect your hair from damage and have a healthy look like from a saloon?

Are you looking for the cheapest version possible but also with some kind of quality?

Do you want to be able to make your hair straight and wavy as well?

If your hair are naturally curly and thick I recommended a straightener with wider plates as it will fasten the process of straightening. If your hair are just slightly wavy or just a little “messy” then thin straightener is fine and also save your space and easier to manipulate with it.

SIZE

Do you prefer thin to be able to make curls as well?

Do you like larger plates for making your hair straight faster?

MATERIAL

Consider if you have damaged, normal or healthy hair – if you have a healthy and very curly hair you might think about titanium which might be slightly more effective in straightening process. However, for normal hair or damaged hair it might break them more easily. I would stick with ceramic plates or if your hair are very sensitive, you might consider tourmaline or combination of ceramic and tourmaline.

TIPS FOR YOU

Everyone has different needs and preferences. From my personal view I prefer thinner plates as it is less clumsy to use, quick and also if you have your hair cut in layers it is easier with thinner plates. I am trying to not use straightener that much as it still kind of damaging your hair, however if you want to look beautiful, it is just necessary to have one at home. You can even use it just for the front hair to tame them and the rest left natural.

I was trying to live without straightener for a while to leave it completely natural, however I realised that it really make a difference. You can use a hairdryer and try to straighten your hair with a brush but it just takes too much time and if you want to look great on daily basis, it is better to invest into hair straightener. For daily use, think about higher quality to reduce the damage of your hair to the minimum possible. Now, look at the top 5 hair straightener based on quality, price and great reviews.
